Advanced Aural Analysis
Course details
- Developing the skills learnt during the Basic Aural Analysis course
- To understand the different active sonars that produce noises which are transmitted into the water
- To be able to make contact classification and conduct analysis on the different Active sonars used by military and non-military vessels
- To be able to conduct detailed analysis, relate them to a specific type of vessel to provide a classification of a noise
- A one week course utilizing the RNSMS Sonar Training Department. The course has regular progress tests to ascertain the progress of the student. It concludes with a final exam which is a pass or fail

REMARKS
The correct level of Security Clearance is required by any student attending the course. The students will be exposed to sensitive information throughout their enrollment on the course, and the information delivered should be treated with the correct level of security and scrutiny. Students should be aware that some parts of the course will contain self-taught computer-based training packages (in English Language only)
