Commanded by Commander Tom Gell, HMS Tamar is the fourth of the second generation River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels.

Both HMS Tamar and HMS Spey represent the UKs commitment to our persistent presence in the Indio Pacific. Tamar has spent the last 5 years forward deployed in the Indio-Pacific region supporting regional partners with anti-smuggling, fishery protection, board patrol, humanitarian aid and counter terrorism operations.
