Aims

The Sergeant Leadership Development course (SLDC) provides the necessary training required to allow pre-promotion Sergeant aspirants to gain the correct leadership knowledge, skills, and attitudes to undertake their role as Sergeant within the Royal Marines. This is done through a mixture of theoretical and practical training with a combination of formative and summative assessments. Students must complete all serials of the course program to pass this course.

The aim of the testing within SLDC is to ensure individuals have gained the required skillset to be successful within their role as a RM Sergeant.
