Aims
To enable the Amphibious Beach Unit Vehicle Mechanic to operate the Beach Recovery Vehicle (BRV) in the Amphibious role to include Landing Craft Utility (LCU)/Landing Craft Vehicle & Personnel (LCVP) vehicle recovery.
Course Details
- Week 1: Beach Recovery Vehicle Familiarisation and amphibious operations
- Week 2: Amphibious Operations; Operating on surf beach working with a LCU, LCU Recovery, LCVP, Vehicle Recovery and Beach Recovery Vehicle, Recovery with Medium Wheel Tractor (MWT), Leo BARV – Compatible
Requirements
- MOD 1 and 2 held and annotated on to MYDRIVE
- DVLA summary print off or equivalent
- Marshalling Trg within the last 6 months
- Conducted tracked vehicle Cse, Cat H and held on License
- Competed and passed Bulldog Operator and Commander cse
