DAA Tips and advice

Preparing for the DAA will help you perform to the best of your ability. Make sure you have read and understood the instructions, checked your technology and tried the practice tests before completing your formal assessment.

Instructions

The DAA is a formal assessment, so make sure you have prepared accordingly.

The link to the assessment will be sent to your candidate portal and be valid for 14 days. Please ensure you give yourself enough time to complete your assessment. This should be around 90 minutes, and it can be conducted at any time during your 14-day window. Full instructions will be provided with the link.

You have two options when taking the DAA:

1. Remotely - At home using the link provided, and if you have access to a compliant smart device as detailed above

or

2. In person - Arranged with a Career Adviser for a set time and date, at your nearest AFCO which can be found here.

If you wish to take the test at your local AFCO, please remember to bring your photographic ID, your Portal login details and a device to access your personal email account.

Upon completion of the DAA your Career Adviser will be able to discuss your scores and your performance. They will then be able to explain your eligibility for different roles based on your result.
